Not many hunting elves daredevils would be brave enough to face Ciaran aep Easnillien the elf and his blue dragoness, called by her breed Sapphiresenthiss, known by Scoia'tael elves as Saphillirenn and by friends as Saphira. Gentle as mother with her newborn, when playing with elves, but a vicious, bloodthirsty monster, when fighting with humans.
Because real immortal friendship and love between two souls doesn't pay attention at size, gender, or even a breed.

Just felt like I have to draw Saphira and her rider and partner, Ciaran =D
It's so nice to see him healthy and not in pain, like he was in game. Poor guy.
(Notice the new part of tattoo on his chest ;) )
I love those two together!
They make a great team, protect and love eachother.

I love this! Although I understand that you are trying to make the horns seem smooth, I think that the larger horns are lagging in detail compaired to the rest of this piece. It makes it seem ever so slightly unfinished, but the smaller horns do not need and more texture and/or detail. And I also think that you could have a greater contrast between the two larger horns. This piece is the only one out of your gallery that I think of this though. Your attention to detail though is crazy! I would have never imagined (nor could do) something like this! And I love the story, i think that it just makes the whole picture come even more alive.

I can still see that by the amount of scales..this must have been a pain. I made a drawing which was mostly a headshot, of a dragon. The facial scales took 8 hours, and I wasn't even with any kind of special editing like highlights and such.

This one took about... 5 hours maybe (mostly because of Ciaran, he took longer, than Sapphiresenthiss)?
THIS one was faster, about 1.5 hours ;)
